Vane Tempest

We started the night with debbie taking temps of all the rooms,

9:00pm Deb left her dictaphone in the common room

9:05pm Their was a camera set up in the gym, as we were setting up a loud bang was heard from the corner of the gym hall. From there we went to the computer room were we heard noises. We were in for a good night.

9:30pm The whole team and a guest went down to the cemetery where we took photos all at the same time .3 cameras stopped working for no reason .

10:00pm On returning to the building we checked on one of the camcorders in the computer room only to find it had been switched off yet the battery was fine. Strange. Set the tape away again, worked no problems, left the room.

11:35pm Unexplained voices on debs voice recorder. Jill and Deb were using crystals to ask questions. Allen and Andy felt uneasy in the hallway. Dispare of a young male about 14-15 years of age, feeling of helpless wondering why he was there it was if he passed through illness but was not aware he had crossed over.

In the gym we sat in a circle and thought we saw shadows. Alan felt someone standing behind him and Deb. Jill also felt a presence behind her. Everyone went icy cold around the shoulders. We had our team dog with us and she was not happy. As we left the room Alan took a photo and their was one orb. Clare was standing in the door way and she called the dog, for no reason the dog just growled at her, the dog then turned, walked in a circle and cowared in front of Clare until she stroked her. Very out of character for the dog.

1:30am We left the building and made our way down to the Silverlink bridge where their has been a lot of sightings reported, as we stood there Dave and Jill got the impression of a man in jodhpurs knee high boots and long tailed jacket top hat also women in long dresses carrying frilly umbrellas.

We returned to the building for a break, checked the cameras, I looked at some of the footage on my camera only to find the focus was all over so I changed tape and put it back in the room along with a digital camcorder because someone said maybe it didnt have anything to focus on but I knew that it did. We left and closed the door.

2:00 am We did vigil in the common room. Jill picked up on a female who worked with children with smallpox between 1910-1920. She had good times there, she was by herself and lived near was a local girl but she did not live on the site as then it was military. Elsie was her name and she lost her love in World War 1, she stayed there to look after the children. The only other thing we got was 47yrs, 1891, Nov 10th , born in County Durham, surname begins with H

4:00am We went to get our equipment. When we went back to the lounge room we checked the cameras from the computer room. To our suprise my camcorder had recorded fine but the digital camcorder was focusing in and out, in and out. Strange.

Deb played her voice recorder and their were children playing and laughing. When we asked the staff that morning we were told the room where the recorder was left used to be a play room all those years ago.

We would like to say a big thank you to Steve and everyone at vane tempest for a very eventful night. Can’t wait until the next time.
